Joining the Register is free, and it always will be. Nobody pays to appear here and nothing on this list is sponsored. It is the list we keep for our own use, and we publish it because it is more useful to the owners on this island than it is to us kept private.

Work from houses that pay on time.

• Our managers call you first when one of our houses needs your trade.
• Someone lets you into the house and is there while you work — no waiting on an owner three time zones away.
• Scope agreed and priced before you start. The price is not renegotiated afterwards.
• Invoices go to us and are paid on our terms, not the homeowner’s.
• Owners see your name and what your customers say — the same as we see it.

We are short of good companies in these trades, and will look at an application from any of them first.

Put your company forward.

We read every one. If we have not used you before, we will call two of your Kiawah or Seabrook customers before we decide. Expect to hear back inside two weeks.

Already work on the island regularly? Say so — we may already have you in the list under a different name.

There is no fee at any stage. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not from Vellamore.
