We have been the owners who weren’t there. For more than twenty years we kept a second home in Paradise Valley, and for the last six, one here on Kiawah. We know what it is to love a house you reach a few times a year, and to wonder in February what is quietly going wrong inside it. We have also spent more than twenty years owning service businesses — technology companies and consultancies among them. Hiring crews, holding them to a standard, and answering the phone at seven on a Friday evening. We learned which companies show up and which ones only promise to. Kiawah is home now. Vellamore is those two halves of our working life brought together — the service we spent twenty years wishing someone would offer us.
The part nobody puts on a website, because it is the part that costs money to do properly.

Vellum was the parchment a family kept for its most important records — never used for anything ordinary, only for what was meant to last. Amore is Italian for love, and for unhurried care.
