Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Vellamore is committed to making myvellamore.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is something we work on continuously rather than something we finish.
Standard we work toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted standard for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, and we are actively working on the parts that do not.
What we have done
In building this site we:
- checked color contrast between text and background against WCAG AA thresholds;
- wrote descriptive alternative text for images that carry meaning, and marked decorative images so screen readers skip them;
- structured pages with a logical heading order so they can be navigated by heading;
- made all interactive elements — links, buttons, and the signup form — reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- labeled every form field and wrote error messages that name the problem in text, not by color alone;
- avoided relying on color alone to convey meaning;
- set a page language and descriptive page titles.
Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about where gaps may remain:
- The Ask Vellamore tool. This is a chat interface built on third-party technology. We have worked to make it keyboard-operable and screen-reader-friendly, but some behavior in the chat window may not yet be fully accessible. If you have trouble using it, we will answer your question directly by phone or email.
- Third-party content. Embedded maps, forms, and content served by outside providers may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We raise issues with those providers when we find them.
- Documents. Any PDF or downloadable file posted to the site may not be fully tagged for accessibility. Ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
If something is not working for you — tell us
We want to hear about it, and we will help you get what you need in the meantime. There is no formal process to follow. Just reach out:
Email: hello@myvellamore.com
Phone: (843) 619-2346
Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use assistive technology, letting us know which one helps us reproduce the problem.
We will acknowledge your message within 3 business days and give you an estimated timeline for a fix. If a fix will take time, we will offer you another way to get the same information or complete the same task in the meantime — by phone, by email, or in whatever format works best for you.
Getting information another way
Anything available on this site is available directly from a person. Call (843) 619-2346 or email hello@myvellamore.com and we will answer your questions about Vellamore's services, walk you through them, or take your information over the phone instead of through the form. We can provide materials in large print, plain text, or another format on request, at no cost.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, in combination with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack. It may not perform as well on older browsers that are no longer supported by their makers.
Technical specifications
The site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. These technologies are required for the site to function as intended and are supported by the browser and assistive technology combinations listed above.
Assessment approach
We evaluated this site through a combination of automated testing and manual review, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing. We review accessibility again whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at minimum once a year.
