Terms of Service

Effective date: July 2026 · Last updated: August 16, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of myvellamore.com and the Ask Vellamore tool (together, the "Site"), operated by Vellamore, LLC ("Vellamore," "we," "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. What this Site is, and what it is not

The Site is an informational resource about Vellamore's private house management service, together with a free tool that answers general home-care questions.

Nothing on this Site is an offer to provide services, and completing a form does not create a service relationship. Vellamore services are provided only under a separate written service agreement signed by both parties. Any pricing, service description, or availability shown here is subject to change and to confirmation in that agreement. If anything on the Site conflicts with a signed service agreement, the service agreement controls.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or submit a form.

4. Ask Vellamore — please read this section

Ask Vellamore is a free, AI-powered chat tool that answers general questions about home care, storm and freeze preparation, and seasonal upkeep in the Lowcountry.

It provides general information only. It is not professional, legal, engineering, construction, electrical, plumbing, structural, insurance, real estate, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified licensed professional evaluating your specific property.

It can be wrong. The tool is generated by artificial intelligence. Its answers may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and they are not reviewed by a person before you see them. Verify anything important with a qualified professional before you act on it. You use the tool, and rely on its output, at your own risk.

It is not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911. For a gas odor, downed line, or utility failure, call your utility provider or emergency services. For a hurricane or evacuation order, follow instructions from Charleston County Emergency Management and local authorities. Do not use Ask Vellamore to report an emergency, request urgent help, or dispatch service to a property. It cannot send anyone to your home.

It does not create a client relationship. Using the tool does not make you a Vellamore client and does not obligate us to take any action regarding your property.

Do not enter sensitive information. Do not submit your full address, gate or alarm codes, key locations, security details, financial account information, health information, or other sensitive personal details.

About service provider information. Where the tool describes categories of local service providers, that information is compiled from publicly available ratings and business listings. It is offered as general orientation only. Vellamore does not endorse, recommend, rank, certify, or vouch for any provider, and makes no representation about any provider's licensure, insurance, workmanship, pricing, or reliability. We do not publish comparative rankings of businesses. We are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, any arrangement you make with a third-party provider. Confirm licensure, insurance, and references yourself before engaging anyone.

5. About Vellamore's services

Vellamore provides private house management: coordinating and overseeing the care of a home on the owner's behalf. Vellamore engages and coordinates licensed, insured third-party vendors and does not perform licensed trade work directly. Those vendors are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Vellamore.

Vellamore is not a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, HVAC contractor, home inspector, engineer, insurance adjuster, or real estate broker, and does not hold itself out as any of these.

6. Forms and communications

When you submit a form, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. You consent to receive communications from us electronically about your inquiry. Marketing communications require your separate opt-in and can be stopped at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying systems; interfere with or disrupt the Site; use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract content; probe or stress-test the Ask Vellamore tool to elicit harmful, defamatory, or unlawful output; submit false information or impersonate another person; submit content that is defamatory, harassing, or that infringes anyone's rights; or use the Site or its content to build a competing product or service.

We may suspend or block access to the Site, including the Ask Vellamore tool, at any time and without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, design, graphics, logos, the Vellamore name and marks, and the arrangement of all of it — are owned by Vellamore or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use them without obligation to you.

9. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites and rely on third-party services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or practices. Links are not endorsements.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND THE ASK VELLAMORE TOOL ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT OF THE ASK VELLAMORE TOOL IS ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PROPERTY OR SITUATION.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VELLAMORE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE ASK VELLAMORE TOOL, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THEM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits or alters the terms of a signed Vellamore service agreement, which governs the services performed at your home.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vellamore and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at hello@myvellamore.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally. Any claim that is not resolved will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will change, and continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

15. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Vellamore regarding the Site.
